Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly entered in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti claims Mundo Deportivo. The outlet claims that the Italian’s agent has been spotted not once but twice at the Nou Camp in recent weeks and has been engaged in talks with the bosses of the Catalan giants.
The 24-year-old is widely considered to be one of best midfielders in the world at present, with the Catalan giants getting a front row seat to watch the Italian in action during the round of 16 fixtures against the French side in the UEFA Champions League.
Verratti was the creative force behind PSG’s 4-0 win in the first leg and while Barca came back to beat them in what is one of the most historic comeback’s in recent times, they were star struck by the Italian’s performance and see the diminutive midfielder as the ideal player to lead their midfield in the future.
The agent of Marco Verratti met Barcelona directors to discuss the transfer, but PSG will not sell the midfielder at any cost.

Much of what the Catalan giants plan to do in the summer will depend on who replaces Luis Enrique as manager, however with midfield maestro Andres Iniesta himself claiming that Verratti is perfect for the club, Barcelona might just go ahead with the move.
